\nRoxy:\u00a0 In Japanese, 6 is “roku” and 3 is “san.” “Roku-san” is how my name is pronounced in Japanese, so it’s kind of a play-on-words with my name.<\/p>\n

2) Are you Persian?<\/em>
\nRoxy:\u00a0 No, I\u2019m American.\u00a0 Ethnically half Italian (Dad), half Lithuanian (Mom).\u00a0 The name “Modafferi” is a not-so-common Southern Italian name.\u00a0 It comes from the Persian word “El Modafer” which means “Victorious one.”\u00a0 (Sweet, huh?) In the 900s AD Muslims occupied Calabria and left traces of culture, names, etc.<\/p>\n

3) Do you train UFC?<\/em>
\nYes, I do. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

4) When are you fighting Cyborg?<\/em>
\nRoxy: Only if weapons are allowed<\/p>\n

5) Who’s your favorite fighter?<\/em>
\nRoxy: That’s tied between Goku and Piccolo!<\/p>\n

\nRoxy: No, because evenings in the USA are mornings in Japan, and I work on the weekends.\u00a0 Yes, gotta love private English schools.<\/p>\n
