And when I woke up at 4:40 AM, I even went back to sleep until 6:30! It was amazing.

I managed to watch Naruto! I watched Shippuden episodes 201-203. Sasuke is in the middle of fighting Raikage-sama. No spoilers, please. Raikage is so cool, despite being a hot-head. I know I’m way behind.

I did personal training with Mitsui-san in the morning from 11:30 – 12:30. This is our third time. I think I can feel a small difference in the stability of my legs. He said I’m getting better. We’re doing ViPR training and he’s helping me stretch. Before, he used this muscle roller and released the knots in my legs that I didn’t even know where there, and my injured knee felt better after that! I was kind of shocked. Yesterday, he told me the muscles on the right side of my neck were larger an bigger than my left side muscles. O_O I wonder how that happened. He suggested that’s from doing takedowns, but I do takedowns on the other side, so that wouldn’t make sense. Weird. I hoped he would release my leg again, but he gave me a neck massage, and my neck felt fabulous after that. So I can’t complain. ^^;

We only did ViPR for 20-25? minutes, but I was done after that. If you watch this vid, it looks like some happy aerobics, but it is NOT EASY. The squats and lifting and swinging that weighted rubber pole. And I did the side shuffle wrong and my back started hurting. ;_; Now I know what not to do, but man! For the little time I was doing it wrong, it really is hurting. >_< My shoulders gave out their strength, prompting him to say, “Man, we gotta strengthen your shoulders, too.” Yes, please. “But these exercises will do that, so don’t worry,” he reassured me. ;_; Yay.

Then I had to hurry to work because I had an assessment. She was late. *facefault* Man. I even had to eat lunch while walking, and trying to wheel my suitcase of gear, because my boss scheduled the lesson so close to the end of my training session. 🙁 Oh well.

I got to finish early because I agreed to that early lesson, and was intending to go to Groundslam’s night practice. I started feeling really strange in my last lesson. Really tired and light-headed. I saw a few white spots, and actually wondered if I was going to pass out! After the lesson, I just debated going home.

Then I thought about how I couldn’t fight in the past, and how every day is part of my upcoming fight. Every training session is part of my fight. Every night of sleep is part of my fight. Every bite of food I put into my body is part of my fight. I promised myself that I’d go to training, and I was fsking going to go to fsking training. I didn’t care if I passed out on the train. If that happened, then I’d deal with that.

“Maybe I’d just do grappling technique.” So I went to training in time for kickboxing. I did kickboxing. I did okay. 🙂 I’m pleased, and I got to try out some new techniques. And Buri-chan got really freaking good at kicks. I want to get that good at kicks. I should be, since I did Tae Kwon Do. I’ll have to redevelop that.

Then we did a 50-50 position scramble drill that was really effective. Katsumura-san called it “Konjo renshu,” or “guts practice.” Amazingly enough, it didn’t hurt my injury. I loved how Katsumura-san lead class tonight.

G-san, my Japanese uncle, was there and we chatted. I call him my uncle because he is older than me, but younger than my dad. But he treats me like his niece. lol Telling me, “Muri shinai de” which is “Don’t over-do it.” It got really really annoying over and over, because I’m trying to train, and it’s kind of like telling me to stop and take it easy. I don’t need to hear that, especially from someone I respect. If I don’t care what he says, I don’t take it to heart, but I DO respect him, so I DO take it to heart. So I politely asked him to stop telling me that.

“No, I won’t stop,” he said, in his blunt way. “It’s my responsibility as the elder to tell someone I care about to not hurt themselves.”

My anger flared and then turned into affection. He was just like my parent. There was absolutely NO use telling him not stop, because he couldn’t. It was just like how when I told my mom I was gonna start Judo, she said, “Oh, now I’ll worry about someone throwing you on your head.” I was like, “MOM, COME ON! What I do now is more dangerous than that!” “But still…”

It’s a parent’s job to worry. And the fact that I have a friend who cares about me enough to be annoying really touched me. 🙂 It’s gonna be hard to ignore him, because I’m the type who listens to my parents. LOL But I think I can manage. They don’t want me to do MMA and I still do. Thank you, G-san, for your support and busy-body-ness. Everybody needs somebody sometimes!

I just couldn’t stay until the end. My back was hurting too much and my body gave out. ~_~; I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish the class, but I wanted to look good in my trainer’s eyes. :/ I still got to bed at 11:30, despite leaving the gym around 10:00. Wow, I still trained for almost 2 hours. Not bad. Man, Japanese gyms go until so late.

I drank 4 SOCK OFF recovery pills last night and I woke up feeling like OMG WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeee.

I LOVE SOCK OFF!!!! Wtf is in it! I still haven’t translated what’s in that stuff…

I slept very deeply Thursday night!
