Maximus just turned six months old! I’m not going to say time flies because it didn’t…it’s been really hard! But I love him. His little smile lights up my world. His giggle is music to my ears. His tears almost make my heart stop. He’s scooting around in his walker, not yet even able to crawl. He just started eating solid food. He’s been wanting it so badly! He watches Chris and I eat and we can see his tongue go in and out of his mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not really training. \ud83d\ude41 It sucks. I’m not really able to do anything I like. Emotionally, I’ve been better. I don’t feel like myself. I miss my best friend. I played Baldur’s Gate for the first time in months a few weeks ago when I got caught up on housework. I’m almost done!
I have child-raising books I’m supposed to read. I’m trying to unhook myself from social media after I found evidence it hurts your brain and messes with your concentration. I can’t hold a book in one hand and nurse, though, so I think I had a relapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started teaching jiujitsu at Tribe once a week. That’s been really nice. I’m so rusty…that’s been so great. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We tiled our house floors. We are building a shed in our back yard to train. I don’t really like training at home but whatever, I guess I’ll learn to like it. Life changes. I’m trying to deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baby is near the end of his nap so I’m rushing this entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started feeding him solid food last week! It’s so fun and entertaining to watch him experience food! He grabs the spoon or deflects it, making a mess. I think I’m doing a decent job of being a mom so far. I just read a quote on Facebook: “You have someone’s childhood in your hands and there’s no redo.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
