So I dreamed that I finished training and showering and was looking for something to do. I lived in the woods in the mountains, much like my home in high school in Lenox, MA. I hopped on my bicycle and rode down a hill. Man, I wanted ice cream. I came upon this log cabin-tavern with cars parked around, so I went in.
It was like a cafe-diner, with wooden tables, and all kinds of people sitting around them. There were bookshelves everywhere. Like a manga-cafe, in Japan. (Manga cafes are places like libraries of comic books and computer cubical, so customers can sit and surf the net and read comic books)
This nice middle-aged guy with a red-brown beard smiled widely at me and offered me a place to sit on the edge of this bench, in like a booth with a family of mother, father, and like 5 kids. I was like, “Um…..”
because although it seemed to be the type of restaurant where customers share tables, there wasn’t much room at this one, and it was awkward. Plus, I hadn’t even seen the menu. I wanted to look. I saw a diagram of ICE CREAM!!! 😀 What KINDS WERE THERE?!?
So he went away, and as I stood up, the mother of the table gave me the evil eye and scooted over to where I just was, preventing me from sitting back down. yeah, it’s okay. I wouldn’t want some strange lady sitting with me and my kids randomly.
I wanted the vanila ice cream with caramel sauce on top of the waffle!! 😀
The owner came over to me and said, “Don’t you want to sit down?” I replied, “Well, there’s really no room at that table, so I thought I’d find another place….”
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” he said. “Here, let me reserve you this special booth for customers staying and reading. No extra charge! It’s on the house. So why don’t you order and then go pick out a few books?” So I did both. 😀 Yay! But I knew I wasn’t going to be able to read a whole novel, so I grabbed a few philosophy books, thinking I could pick up a few wise sayings.
A long portion of my dream involved me exploring the upstairs of this cabin, which was more like a 1800’s style house’s bedroom, refitted to look like a library.
I got my books and went back downstairs for my ice cream….and then woke up.
Without the ice cream.
I woke up at 1:55. Hungry. I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. My stomach went “grrrrrrrr.”
I said, “Shut up, you.” *Roll over*
;_; *cry* I drank water, but it wouldn’t shut up. I ended up getting up at 3 AM for breakfast. *sigh* But I freaking HAD my Blue Bunny frozen yogurt yesterday, so it’s not like I was unsatisfied! Maybe it was my mom asking me “can I have some of your frozen yogurt?” right before I went to bed. It got stuck in my brain and I had a dream.
Or maybe I’m just obsessed with ice cream. What do you guys think?
