I hardly have time to update anymore. Maximus turned one! Then 13 months! He’s toddling around. He cruised for quite a long time (walking by holding onto things like furniture) and then took his first steps a number of weeks ago. It was from the sofa, lunging towards me. lol Now he can stand up from a sitting position and walk around the house. Like out the door. I’m chasing him now. 😀 It’s great.
We installed a baby gate in the kitchen so I can have him in there and he won’t go into the dining room to play with forbidden items like the trash can.
We had a nice birthday party for him inviting my friends. I’m having lots of fun with him nowadays. I had been taking him to this gymnastics place called ‘Desert Gymcats,’ which has a free baby time. I think I’ll have to stop now that he’s consistently walking.
I’m enjoying him saying “Mama, Mom-mom,” “Dada,” “duck.” lol He also makes cute noises when he eats, like humming and growling to himself. We’ve been going to parks a lot, and I’ve been able to do jiujitsu with a mom-friend who I got into jiujitsu, Amy. I’m really starting to enjoy being a mom now. It would have been easier if I would have been able to train at least a little regularly – I’ll be honest, I’ve been unhappy, but now things feel better. I’ve been doing some jiujitsu. I would like to compete some day again. I feel like that’s not unreasonable.
Max at 11 months old
My husband Chris just had an MMA fight with Fusion Fight League in Montana! He was the main event. That was an honor, and Fusion is such an awesome organization with great events. They treat fighters so well. Unfortunately, he lost the fight. Got rocked early on and couldn’t quite recover. The ref could have let it go a little longer. Meh.
It was awesome seeing my in-laws. My mother-in-law and father-in-law really bent over backwards to help take care of Max. It was so nice. I mean they are grandparents, that’s their job, but they really went above and beyond to make it a wonderful trip.
I hope I can get more training in and maybe do some seminars once I wean Max. He now has two bottom teeth and three top teeth, and let’s just say, he’s chomping down when he shouldn’t be. 🙁
This ASUS is on it’s last leg and I got another laptop, but I haven’t even had the time to set it up and transfer data! I’ve had it for a few weeks now…
