Training, Karen, Gold’s Gym

This morning I chatted with one of my trainers online about various kinds of training. I feel more informed and educated now, as always. Thank you!! ^_~v

Then I trained at the AACC and Toda-san came, as promised. He REALLY helped me SO MUCH with various things I’ve always had problems with. He drilled them over and over with me…he was the PERFECT person to work with, because of the kind of drills we were doing, AND he is exactly the same height and weight as me. <3 This could make all the difference in the world in an aspect of my game.

I’m sooo sooo grateful, especially since he was more drenched in sweat than I was. I looked at the clock after our drills and it was already time to go! After an hour and a half! :O Time flew! He basically let me use him the whole time. *bow* THANK YOU TODA-SAN. m._.m

Then I met my co-worker Karen and we went to Kawasaki Daishi (again) to go to my favorite senbei (rice cracker) shop. ^^

I’ve started hanging out with her lately, and it’s a lot of fun. 😀

Then I met Megumi and we chatted about stuff and I helped her write an e-mail in English. She has an iPhone now! 😀

It’s Abe-san’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Abe-san! You rock!

Oh, my new co-worker Gloria told me that Omori and Oimachi are sister schools, so I don’t need a master membership to go to both of them. I just need to be a member of one.

I DID NOT KNOW THAT. -_-; I’ve been paying 12,000 yen a month for a membership that allows me to use ANY Gold Gym ANY time of the day. (there are various morning/afternoon/weekend plans). That is $155, folks. PER MONTH. To use the weight room/sauna/MMA room. (btw the AACC club is separate- about $120 per month for women. Men cost more, but there’s a $25 discount if you’re a member of both.) That comes to a grand total of 19,950 yen, or $260 bucks a month that I’m paying.

SOOOOOOOOooooo I heard this from Gloria and was like, DUDE, wtf I am TOTALLY changing my membership, because I only ever go to those two places! So now I’m paying $220 dollars a month instead of 260. I’m saving $40 a month that I could have saved for the past few years I’ve been a member.

Hah I had a conversation with my mom at Christmas, when she said that she wasn’t sure she wanted to join the YMCA and it was a little expensive. I asked her how much, and she said, “About two hundred and fifty dollars,” I said, “Oh, well, I’m paying…” “…per 6 months,” she finished.

I almost peed in my pants.

Lastly, RIP to my penguin socks. ;_; The gnome gave me back the missing one, but I think today was their last day. HOLY PENGUIN SOCKS!!!! XD
