I haven’t been feeling so great this week. I’ve been feeling a strange tiredness. I’m not talking ‘out of shape’ tiredness. Wednesday I was strangely beat, but managed to do mitts and train with Brittany. Thursday I barely made it through jiu-jitsu class. Friday I’m very proud of myself because I struggled through MMA practice on Friday and THEN do some light conditioning stuff with Norm. I thought I was limping BEFORE meeting Norm, well….. x_x
It’s amazing what people can push their bodies to do.
Maybe it’s because I was really sick around Christmas time, as was Heather. She got sick around the same time, so it makes sense if our bodies are just finishing up recovering. It’s really annoying, though, because we don’t have other symptoms and it looks like we’re slacking. ~_~;
Saturday I worked with Jamie and Brittany before sparring. Jamie has an ammy fight coming up. That girl is STRONG, despite being smaller than me. I can’t hold side control on her. lol
Then did kickboxing sparring. I didn’t do as well as I hoped, but I did a few combinations I’ve been practicing, so I’m pleased. I did the POW punch I just learned from John! XD And I sparred with a guy from another gym wearing red, who obviously didn’t want to spar with me, because he only blocked, maybe threw one testing jab, and then took me down. (in kickboxing sparring). So I GnP his face as he was holding onto my leg! lol
I didn’t wanna go nuts, because I gotta respect men’s wishes not to hit a girl. It’s like me not wanting to hit a child- it just feels wrong. Whatever, man…. next time I’ll avoid him.
Stuff hurt so much that I thought I was going to break apart, so I lay down on the side. x_x damnit. Squinting at the clock, I saw it was 12:45. Fifteen more minutes left to class. Damnit, I had wanted to finish class. ~_~;
“GET YOUR ASSES UP AND FIND A PARTNER BEFORE THE BELL! TWO MORE ROUNDS, FINISH THE ROUNDS!” One of our coaches Chaz started screaming stuff at us. I was the only one laying down, but a few others were resting as well….
How much would I have given to be able to get up after being knocked down on the Ultimate Fighter?
I got up and did two more rounds.

Afterwards I dragged myself over to Jake Steckel, and he helped me so I could walk outta the gym. Best chiropractor in Vegas, hands down.
I went home and ice bathed, for the first time in a month. I think I actually cried, and tried hard not to scream, because my mom was in the other room, and it would freak her out…. My body turned all blotchy red from the cold. lovely!…Details
